Studio City Neighborhood Council Seats First Youth Member

Studio City Neighborhood Council voted unanimously on August 26, 2026, to create a non-binding Youth Board Member seat and seat its first occupant.

Jessie Cai was approved for the first three-month term, followed in rotation by Drew Lattuca, Daisy Vigueras, and Sophie Shih.

The Youth Board Member participates in board proceedings but casts advisory votes that do not affect official outcomes.

The board also amended its operating procedures to require youth motions to be brought by an adult board member with a second.

Jessie Cai took the Neighborhood Council pledge and was seated as the first rotating Youth Board Member in a non-binding capacity at the same meeting.
