Studio City Votes for Ventura Boulevard Trolley Pilot

Studio City Neighborhood Council voted 13-1 on August 26, 2026, to support a two-year open-air trolley pilot on Ventura Boulevard.

The proposed route would connect the Universal City and Studio City Metro B Line station with the commercial corridor.

The board directed staff to pursue potential funding through Measure M, LCTOP, and Prop C, along with a feasibility study.

The goal is to launch the service before the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The only no vote came from Kesara Borirak.

The council will transmit its support and continue evaluating funding, route, ridership, cost, and vehicle design.
