Studio City Votes to Fund Ventura Boulevard Lights

The Studio City Neighborhood Council voted to support the transfer of $316,000 to pay for new pedestrian lighting on Ventura Boulevard.
The money would come from the Ventura-Cahuenga Corridor Specific Plan fund.
The lights are part of the Studio City Pedestrian Safety Downlighting Project, which covers Ventura Boulevard and Ventura Place.
The transfer was authorized through Council File 26-1053.
The vote passed 8 to 4, with one abstention and one recusal.
Board members Kesara Borirak, Andrew Epstein, Jeff Hartwick, and Matt Thompson voted against the motion.
Kim Clements abstained, and Dean Cutler was recused.
