Studio City Limits Holiday Fair Sponsorship to $1,500

The Studio City Neighborhood Council voted 13 to 0 to sponsor the Tujunga Village Holiday Street Fair for $1,500.

The original proposal called for $10,000 to sponsor four events.

The board amended the motion to fund one holiday event at $1,500 to allow the council to test the arrangement before considering additional events.

Two board members, Merci Borden and Lusine Galadjian, recused themselves from both the amendment and the final vote.

The board discussed the event's attendance and economic and community benefits before approving the reduced amount.

The council must confirm funding eligibility and payment procedure with the City Clerk's funding representative before spending the money.
