Studio City Rejects $65M Solar Streetlight Plan

The Studio City Neighborhood Council voted to reject a motion calling for a $65 million expansion of the city solar streetlight program.
The motion, listed as GAC-B, would have directed the City Administrative Officer to add $65,000,000 to the 2025-26 Municipal Improvement Corporation of Los Angeles (MICLA) program.
The funds would have paid for installation of at least 500 solar-powered streetlights per council district across the city.
The motion was linked to City Council file 26-0205.
Ten board members voted no: Borden, Borirak, Clements, Cutler, Hartwick, Gatsiounis, Lewis, Niederberg, Rittenberg, and Thompson.
Board member Epstein was absent from the vote.
