Studio City Board Rejects $65M Solar Streetlight Plan

The Studio City Neighborhood Council voted against supporting a $65 million solar streetlight proposal on May 27.
The motion asked the city to add $65,000,000 to the Municipal Improvement Corporation of Los Angeles program for the current fiscal year.
The program would have installed at least 500 solar-powered streetlights per council district across Los Angeles.
The Street Lighting Maintenance Assessment Fund was named as the source of funds.
All ten board members present voted no.
One board member was absent.
