Studio City Explores Evacuation Hub at Valley College

The Studio City Neighborhood Council's Disaster Preparedness and Evacuation Committee is developing a guide to help residents prepare for and survive an evacuation.

The guide will be organized around preparation, information and communication, and early departure.

The committee is also exploring a secure early-evacuation hub, potentially at Los Angeles Valley College.

The hub would provide information, power, restrooms, climate control, and basic support.

A fuller report is expected at the September board meeting.

The committee is also seeking additional members to join the effort.
