Studio City Requests Fencing at Colfax River Bridge

The Studio City Neighborhood Council voted to request fencing and no-trespassing signs along the south side of the Los Angeles River near the Colfax pedestrian bridge.

The motion, listed as SBC-A, passed with ten votes in favor at the May 27 meeting.

Board member Epstein was absent.

The area covered runs from the Colfax pedestrian bridge to the rear of the underpass.

The minutes cite fires in a designated high fire severity zone, accumulation of trash and debris impacting the river ecosystem, potential biohazards, and unauthorized connections to public infrastructure.

The request is directed to Councilmember Nithya Raman of Council District 4.
