CD4 Admits Failure at Studio City Vacant Property

Neighbors of a vacant property at 4343 Babcock Avenue brought fire and safety concerns to the Studio City Neighborhood Council.

Residents described prior complaints, encampment and trespass concerns, recent fires, and risk to adjacent homes and children.

A Council District 4 director acknowledged what the minutes call a long-standing failure to resolve conditions at the property.

The CD4 director committed to meet affected residents the following morning and reported escalation to Council District leadership and LADBS management.

Residents requested an urgent SCNC letter seeking nuisance abatement and fencing and committee review of the property.
