Northridge West Tables Plan to Clear Limekiln Canyon
July 1, 2026 · Neighborhood Councils
The Northridge West Neighborhood Council tabled a proposal to approve up to $2,500 for brush abatement at Limekiln Canyon at its June 9, 2026 meeting.
The funds would come from the council's Community Improvement Projects account, and CD12 would match the contribution for the project.
Board President Janis Kraft said the city's funding clerk asked that the vote be postponed until the next fiscal year.
Kraft also said she wanted the Beautification Committee to weigh in first, and board member Kathleen Edwards said the Public Safety Committee should also be involved.
Board member Jeff Diamond noted that the Los Angeles Parks Foundation might also provide additional funding for the project.
