Northridge West Hears AMC Bid to Serve Alcohol

The Northridge West Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee recommended approval of a permit for AMC Theatres to serve alcohol at the Northridge Fashion Mall.

The permit application is Case ZA-2025-4729-CUB.

AMC is seeking a conditional use permit to serve beer, wine and spirits at the theatres.

The committee voted in favor of the request at its May 1, 2026 meeting.

AMC's attorney Jennifer Oden spoke to the board at the May 12 meeting and answered questions about the liquor license.

The permit would limit each customer to no more than two alcoholic beverages.

Board members raised questions about pricing, serving sizes, and how drink counts would be tracked.

The matter had not reached a full board vote as of the May 12 meeting.
