Encino Schedules October Traffic Safety Meeting

Encino Neighborhood Council voted on September 23 to hold a special joint meeting in October on traffic safety.

The meeting will bring together the Public Safety Committee and the full board.

The board approved up to $150 for facility fees, water, and light refreshments.

The vote followed a report from Councilmember Nithya Raman's representative about a recent traffic accident outside Valley Beth Shalom.

LAPD and LAFD transported multiple victims to receive treatment.

LADOT recently met with the council to conduct a traffic study for Ventura and Densmore, and Ventura and Gloria.

A new speed bump was installed on Densmore.

Valley Beth Shalom also lost its crossing guard this year.

The Encino Traffic Committee will address recent car accidents and other fatalities in Encino at its October 1 meeting.
