Encino Council Picks Roy Nwaisser as President

Roy Nwaisser was elected president of the Encino Neighborhood Council at the board's July 22 meeting.

The vote was 13 yes, 1 no, and 3 abstentions.

Jennifer Luce was elected vice president on a 17 to 0 vote.

Pilar Defreest was seated as treasurer on an 18 to 0 vote.

The secretary race was contested between Victoria Biddle and Shaindi Schwebel.

Schwebel won the seat 13 to 4, with one abstention.

Kelvin Tolbert was elected sergeant at arms on an 18 to 0 vote.

The board approved Jennifer Luce as second signer for funding documents.

Pilar Defreest was named bank cardholder and airport committee chair.
