Encino Pushes LAPD on Non-Emergency Hold Times

The Encino Neighborhood Council will push for shorter hold times on the LAPD non-emergency line, 877-ASK-LAPD.

The board also wants LAPD to offer an option to send non-emergency text messages.

The Public Safety Committee first approved the measure 4 to 0.

The council plans to advocate through official letters, emails, a Community Impact Statement, and public comments by the president or committee chair.
