Encino Plans December Holiday Festival at Encino Park

The Encino Neighborhood Council voted 13 to 0 on August 26 to co-host a winter holiday event at Encino Park.

The proposed date is Sunday, December 6, tentatively from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The council is partnering with the Encino Community Center on the event.

Planned activities include Christmas tree and menorah lighting, snow to play in, craft tables, hot chocolate and cider, community-based choirs, carolers, Santa photos, a toy drive, and a holiday bicycle decorating parade.

The board voted to approve the event without a set spending budget.

A motion to include up to $2,000 in funding was amended to remove the dollar amount before the final vote.
