Encino Council Targets Grimes Place Party House

The Encino Neighborhood Council tabled a motion on August 26, 2026 that would have asked LAPD and the city attorney to enforce the party house ordinance at 4434 Grimes Place.

The motion was tabled until further notice due to city attorney guidance.

The minutes state that since Jan. 1, 2025, LAPD has been called to the house 17 times.

The most recent event occurred on August 15, 2026, resulting in a massive LAPD response including eight patrol cars, a helicopter, and officers from the vice unit.

The motion sought criminal charges against the property owner, the promoters, and all others involved.
