Encino Fest Power Box Failure Cost $617 in Emergency Bills

The Encino Neighborhood Council voted on June 8, 2026 to cover two emergency bills from Encino Fest that arose after no one could access the power box at Encino Park.

The minutes state that neither the Encino Community Center nor LA Recreation and Parks had a key to the bolt lock on the power box.

A locksmith from O Lock Smith was brought in to cut the lock at a cost of $167.50.

Emergency sound engineering services from AAA Rents and Events cost $450 due to delayed power access at the event.

The council approved both payments 13 to 0, drawing from the event budget.

The combined emergency total was $617.50.
