Arleta Council Hears LASHA Audit Found No Accountability

Councilmember Imelda Padilla told the Arleta Neighborhood Council that an audit of LASHA showed a lack of records and accountability and no transparency.

A community member at the May 19, 2026 meeting asked whether the agency, which receives public funds to address homelessness, had been audited.

The minutes state Padilla said the Mayor needs to work with her own Homeless Committee member to bring pressure.

Padilla also suggested that the council write letters to the City Council based on what residents have observed.
